This two-day class covers the basics of Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional. Learn how to create "good" PDF files and how to add basic enhancements.

Acrobat Course Content:

  • Introducing Adobe Acrobat (concepts and designing for onscreen presentations)

  • Looking at the Work Area (a quick look at the user interface and software organization)

  • Creating Adobe PDF files (learn how to create a PDF from any program and how to control the file size through compression commands)

  • Creating Adobe PDF files from Microsoft Office Files (a look at how to create PDFs specifically from the Microsoft Office applications)
    Combining Files in PDF Packages (combine PDFs from various sources into one PDF presentation)

  • Creating Adobe PDF from Web Pages (save a web page or site and one PDF file for archive or off-line presentation purposes)

  • Converting E-mail Files and Folders to Adobe PDF (archive Outlook e-mail messages and entire folders into one, easily searchable PDF file)

  • Working with PDF Files (set the opening view of a PDF file, work with links and accessibility features)

  • Editing PDF Documents (reorganize the pages in a PDF file, add and remove pages, update the numbering)

  • More on Editing (learn how articles can make it easier to read multiple column publications online, edit text, reduce file size, extract text and images for use in other applications)

  • Using Acrobat in the Document Review Cycle (use the commenting tools for online mark-up in a paperless editing workflow).
